Showing all 3Employee suffered foreign body in their eye when turning on a shop fan. The fan stirred up dust in the shop. Employee was wearing safety glasses. First aid was administered(eye wash) but EE still felt something in the eye and requested medical attention. Employee was given prescription eye drops and returned to work.
EE was using a 9"grinder to remove some old welds from the dryer. EE was tied off and sitting on the dryer while grinding. EE started to slip so EE reached back to grab the safety line to regain balance causing the grinder to strike EE's knee. EE received 10 stitches to the right knee and was given a post-accident drug screen.
