WHILE CUTTING STEEL FOR REPAIR WORK IN A TIGHT AREA. HE CUT INTO A RUSTY PIECE AND SMALL PIECES MUST HAVE BOUNCED AROUND HIS PROTECTIVE FACE SHIELD. THIS LEFT A PIECE OF METAL SLAG IN HIS RIGH T EYE. HE REPORTED IT TO THE OFFICE, BUT FELT THERE WAS NOTHING IN HIS EYE AND REFUSED MEDICAL TREATMENT. CONTINUED TO WORK UNTIL 1-23-97 WHEN HE WENT TO ER FOR REMOVAL.
