Approx. 3:00 PM 03/05/12, employee was using grinder to remove excess material from a welded bead on a steel pipe. Employee noticed something in right eye and reported to plant medical. Employee was referred to off-site physician that removed embedded piece of metal.

Employee grinding pipe supports and felt irration in eye on way home from work. He reported this to his supervisor at the beginning of his next shift. FOB in right eye located and removed by physician. Returned to work at full duty.
