While hanging bags on a paper bag sealer in the Open mouth bagging area the employees right hand middle finger was pinched causing a laceration. No stitches were required. Employee was placed on limited use of the right hand.

Showing all 7Employee was operating the Bagging Machine when he noticed his hand was swollen. He put Ice on the hand. He went to the clinic to have it checked out. He was diagnosed with a Mild Strain to the Extenser Tendon. Employee indicated that he noticed his hand being swollen on the previous shift but failed to report it.
Employee was walking through the maintenance shop, another employee was grinding on a steel screen frame. The injured employee received grinding dust in his right eye under his safety glasses. The employee had the foreign body removed at the clinic and received prescription eye drops.
Employee was drilling steel brackets using a drill press. The steel caught and spun around hitting the employees left hand causing a laceration on the palm requiring 5 stitches.
Employee was removing urethane buckets from an elevator. He was using a grinder to cut the bolts. The grinder wheel contacted the bucket enough to create fumes which he breathed. He later stated he did not feel well and went to the hospital where he was diagnosed with inhalation pneumonitis.
The injured employee was removing the bottom access panel of the rosin dryer elevator which had plugged up with wet sand. After removing the clips that held the panel on, EE removed the door. As he was doing this the upper panel pivoted downward because the bolts had vibrated out on one side. The upper panel struck his's right fourth fingertip, fracturing the bone.
EMPLOYEE WAS WELDING AT THE ROSIN DRYER-110 ROOMAREA WHEN HE ACCIDENTLY STRUCK AN ARC WHILE HIS HOOD WAS UP. HE WAS TREATED FOR WELDING FLASH INHIS LEFT EYE.
