K B Coal Inc · Struck by falling object

EMPLOYEE WAS INSTALLING TH LAST ROOF BOLT IN A CUT AT THE FACE OF #5 ENTRY. WHILE REMOVING THE DRILL STEELS, A PIECE OF ROOF FELL AND STRUCK HIS LEFT HAND BREAKING THE MIDDLE FINGER ABOVE THE SECOND JOINT. HE STATED HE TRIED TO PULL THE ROOF DOWN PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE BOLT BUT COULD NOT SCALE IT DOWN WITH A ROCK BAR.
