Employee was off duty and lives with wife in camper on mine property behind shop. Per wife who was with employee at the time, employee had just taken shower and was laying down. Wife heard noise. Found husband unresponsive. Summoned help from employee at the shop. 911 was called and transported him to Augusta County Regional Medical Center.

Employee walked into office complaining of tightness in chest: She stated that she had been driving from our Rocky Mount location to our Roanoke location, when about half way between she begin to feel sick and considered pulling off the road. She drove on to the Roanoke Va office.
EE had symptoms of a stroke ee was transported to hospital and MSHA was notified. The ER physician determined that it was not a stroke but a reaction to a change of medicine. He was told to contact his family doctor in regard to the re-action. Medical Claim Only.
Employee was nauseated and later complained of pain in his left arm.
FROM APPROX 8:30 AM-11:45 AM EE CLEARED OVER SPILL STONE FROM WALK WAY AT #57 BIN AT THE PUG MILL. USING A STD HAND SHOVEL. TOOK A BREAK AT 11:45 WENT TO QUALITY CONTROL LAB TO REST AND DRINK WATER. WHILE IN THE LAB, HEATED LUNCH IN MICROWAVE. WHILE EATING LUNCH IN LAB HAD HEART ATTACK. CALLED FOREMAN WHO CALLED 911. CLEARBROOK RESCUERESPONDED.
EMPLOYEE WAS IN HIS LOADER, LOADING ROCKS ON TRUCKS WHEN HIS CHEST STARTED HURTING. HE BEGAN SWEATING PROFUSELY, BREATHING RAPIDLY. HE SLUMPED OVER STEERING WHEEL. WHEN WITNESS SAW HIM HE WAS HOLDING HIS CHEST WITH HIS RIGHT HAND, LEFT ARM HANGING DOWN SHAKING, HEAD SHAKING, TEARS COMING OUT OF HIS EYES.
