An Operator reached into bolt bin, when they felt an insect. They jerked their arm back and forth and thought they had dislodged the insect. A couple of minutes later, they felt a bite on their lower abdomen. They did not report the incident until several days later when it was evident that there was a possible infection with the bite location.

Showing all 3At or around 8:30 am on 10/10/2013, a DuPont electrician was in the process of aligning a drive bus into the cutter drive motor when he reported soreness/crunching in his knees to his supervisor. The employee was transported to medical where he was evaluated and prescribed a prescription medication. Further medical testing conducted and no acute trauma was seen.
WHILE WALKING THROUGH THE DRY MILL, SAND BLEW INTO THE RIGHT EYE. EYE FLUSHED AT THE HOSPITAL AND ONE-TIME DOSE OF PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION WAS APPLIED AS A PRECAUTION. NO FOREIGN BODY WAS REMO VED.
