Showing all 5Batteries ran down (no power) on the mantrip vehicle used to transport 2 people (spad crew) to the surface. One of the occupants head/cap got wedged between the mine roof (30' coal hgt.) & the vehicle frame & when machine movement occurred slightly, the occupant received injuries. Diagnosed as concussion and neck muscle strain.
Operating scoop got left hand in pinch point and mashed two fingers on left hand forefinger and little finger.
The accident occurred at 6:25 AM 12-3-11. the miner were hand rock dusting the outby area when the scoop bucket crushed the victim between the scoop bucket and roof. the coal was 34 inches visibility was poor.
Employee was tramming a buggy down traveling on #2 belt line and caught his head against the top. Injured his neck and left arm.
