Employee was operating production loader (Catapillar 988G) digging shot rock in the pit as per usual when the bucket struck a ledge (known to the operator) jarring both machine and operator. This jarring lead to his complaint of neck pain, an appointment with the Company doctor & light duty for at least (2) two weeks. EE has complained of neck/back problems in the past.
Engineer moving railcars to a particular track...the switch thrown to wrong track...cars already on it...cars pushed by the locomotive struck parked cars...engineer reported soreness...didn't request doctor until 08/07...diagnostics followed...08/25 engineer has Herniated Disc...treatment to be determined... no missed work days...continues as a locomotive engineer daily.
