Showing all 7The miner was helping change screens on a screen plant. He was standing on the discharge belt and working outside of the catwalk guardrail. He stepped backwards off the discharge belt and fell approximately 3' onto a shuttle belt.
The miner was repairing a torn belt. Due to freezing rain the entire site was coated with ice. The miner slipped and fell. When he fell he twisted his knee. He is required to wear a knee brace and attend three physical therapy sessions.
