Employee was working on Sand Plant electric line project. The early morning snow had been plowed which created icy conditions. The employee walked around the corner of a 305.5 excavator when EE lost footing. When EE fell EE landed on the left knee taking all of the weight.

Showing all 3EE was picking up metal plate from the ground to throw in the back of a pick-up. EE estimated metal plate weighed about 150-200lbs. EE rested a bit before calling EE's father to take EE to the ER. The ER stated right erector muscle strain and to take ibuprofen follow up with Occupational Health on 4/5/2016. Cleared to return to work on 4/6/2016 with no restrictions.
EE was welding with another EE back to back, possible welding flash or reflective flashes. Possible fragments from grinding metal.
