Employee #1 was standing near Employee #2, who was using a hammer to remove a bearing from the manlift. Employee #1 suddenly felt pain in EE's wrist and, upon lifting EE's sleeve, observed a small cut. EE was transported to Excel ER, where an X-ray revealed a small piece of metal embedded in EE's right wrist.

Showing all 2An employee was attempting to pry a rock loose in the hopper when the pry bar recoiled & struck EE's safety glasses, resulting in a laceration to the bridge of EE's nose. EE stopped work & was transported to Ward County Hospital's Emergency Room, where EE received five stitches. Following the incident, the employee failed a post-accident drug test & EE's employment was terminated.
