Showing all 10Employee was cleaning sand and gravel buildup from a conveyor. A sharp shooter type shovel was being used. the shovel slipped and caught his left little finger between the shovel handle and the conveyor frame. Tip of finger was mashed and required stitches. and minor surgery.
Applying belt dressing with a spray can. Climbed over guard, placed his hand and arm in guarded area between belt and head pulley. His arm was snagged by the belt causing a laceration to his left shoulder.
