EE was moving from the shaft of the screw to the floor of the screw near the top of the machine. When stepping down EE hit EE's knee on the corner of the pea gravel chute that run into the screw. Condition is still under evaluation.

Showing all 25Squatting to retrieve a rope and caused a back spasm.
While using a sledge hammer to loosen a pump impeller, a finger on the right hand was caught between the handle and the pump shell. This caused a fracture of the end of the finger.
While placing a pipe patch, a finger tip was smashed between a hammer handle and the pipe.
The employee was injured while manning a safety line used to hold in a deck barge. The rope slipped from the kevel and caused employee's wrist to jerk, spraining the wrist.
The employee had a piece of slag enter EE's ear while cutting metal in a screen waste chute. Originally it was treated with drops, but later it was determined to need surgery (7/21/2022).
The employee cut EE's finger in two places while removing spud pins from the starboard spud. The cuts required 13 stitches, total. Gloves were being worn at the time. The stitches were done by MedExpress in NLR.
The employee was using a pipe wrench to loosen a pipe. The wrench slipped from the pipe, causing EE's left hand to be cut on the middle knuckle. The employee was wearing gloves at the time. The cut required stitches, which were done at Concentra Health in Little Rock, AR.
Taking a wire rope off of a barge timber head. Wire rope had a burr on it and caught my finger.
Welding. Welding and a piece of slag fell between my life jacket and shirt. Caught my shirt on fire and burnt my abdomen.
We thought employee was suffering from Heat Exhaustion but after being examined at the Hospital it was determined he had a Heart Attack.
Helping a welder and burnt my eyes. I did not report this injury to my employer until 10/11/2011.
Hand slipped off a wrench while tightening a nut. Hand hit a bolt and cut right small finger. Received 6 stitches.

NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS. EE WAS CLIMBING OUT OF SAND CLASSIFIER. SLIPPED ON LADDER AND CAUGHT HIMSELF WITH HIS RIGHT HAND. INJURED LIGAMENTS TO HAND & WRIST.
NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS. EMPLOYEE WAS REMOVINGA SHOOT PIPE ON THE SCREW AND CUT HIS 4TH FINGERON LEFT HAND ON THE END OF THE PIPE.
NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS. EMPLOYEE WAS USING A TORCH TO BURN A BOLT OFF OF THE SHAKEY. PAINT CHIP FLEW INTO LEFT EYE. SAFETY GLASSED WERE BEING WORN BY EMPLOYEE.
