A WELDER WAS USING AN OXYGEN-ACETYLENE TORCH TO CUT A NOTCH IN SPILL PLATE IN THE STAGELOADER WHEN APPARENTLY A SPARK TRAVELED ACROSS THE STAGE LOADER LANDING ON MINE FLOOR IGNITING A METHANE BLEEDER. FLAMES WERE VISIBLE FOR 10 TO 15 SECONDS AND PUT OUT BY A FIRE EXTINGUISHER.
