EE WAS CLEANING AND PREPAIRING A JUMBO COVERED HOPPER RAILROAD CAR FOR LOADING. HE HAD TO CRAWL INSIDE THE CAR FROM THE BOTTOM BECAUSE OF NO ACCESS LADDERS INS WE THE HOPPEN. THE CAR HAD PREVI OUSLY HELD ATTACKEN BY PRODUCT MEAL WHICH IS SLICK WHEN WET. EE HAD THIS ON HIS BOTTS WHILE ASCEDNING OUTSIDE END LADDER TO CAR TOP, SLIPPEDAND FELL TO GROUND.

INJURED WAS CUTTING OFF A PIECE OF 1/2" PLATE STEEL 44" LONG X 8" WIDE. WHEN THE CUT PLATE FELL TO THE CEMENT FLOOR, IT BOUNCED UP STRIKING HIM IN THE LEFT CAUSING THE INJURY.
