EMP PLACED BOTH HANDS ON EDGE OF ROCK TO LOOK UP ON TOP OF THE ROCK TO INSPECT THE BLOCK. AS HE LIFTED HIMSELF ONE CORNER GAVE WAY AND HIS CHEST HIT BLOCK.

IT WAS A SUNNY DAY. EE AND ANOTHER EE WERE WORKING ON THE DRILL. ONE ROD STUCK AND EE TRIED TO USE A PIPE WRENCH TO BREAK IT LOOSE. OTHER EE CUT THE AIR ON. THE WRENCH FLEW BACK WHILE EE WAS S TILL HOLDING ONTO THE WRENCH AND MASHED HIS FINGER AGAINST THE DRILL.

FREEZE-THAW WEATHER CONDITIONS CAUSED A SMALL PIECE OF ROCK TO DISLODGE FROM A WALL OF THE QUARRY OPENING AND STRIKE THE WORKER ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR OF THE QUARRY. HIS HARD HAT TOOK MOST OF THE IMPACT, PREVENTING MORE SERIOUS INJURY.
