Fall onto or against objects

Employee descended the stairs and stepped to the ground, turned, stepped on ice, fell extending his left hand to grab the handrail. He instead struck a crusher wear liner laying on the ground lacerating the palm of his left hand. He was wearing all required ppe including leather gloves. He received 5 inner and 14 outer sutures.

Struck against stationary object

Clearing weeds & small trees, pushing them up a hill. When he reached the top of the hill, there was a dozer approaching. He lunged forward and put his arms out, striking the mirror with his LT forearm. No sutures, given RX. Released from care 8/21/15.

Fall onto or against objects

While replacing skirt board rubber, he lost his balance, reached out to grab hold with LT hand, sharp piece of metal penetrated his palm. Taken to ER due to time of day, follow up at Occ Health next day. 6 sutures.
