Struck against stationary object

Hit left knee on metal structure when entering the dredge to start his shift. At time of incident the Med center told him it was only strained. On 10/22/2008 employee received surgery to repair a torn Meniscus Ligament which was a result of the incident back on 08/04/2008. Post surgery will result in lost time and modified duty.

Struck against stationary object

After performing maintenance to the plant hopper the victim was climbing down off of the hopper. When he reached the ground he stepped on a piece of over sized gravel with his right leg. This caused his leg to twist and broke both of the lower bones just above his boot.

Struck by falling object

While removing a drive shaft it fell and smashed the tip of the right middle finger. The tip of the finger is fractured requiring splinting, the resulting laceration required six sutures, & a sub vascular hematoma required drilling of the nail to relieve pressure.
