An employee was working on removing a bearing cap to inspect the bearing on "B Elevator" when EE came into contact with a damaged metal seal on the side of the bearing head shaft. While removing a piece of the damaged metal, a sharp edge cut through EE's heavy duty glove into EE's left pinky finger resulting in 4 stitches.

The employee had finished repairs to the Preblend Stammler system immediately prior to the injury, which occurred when employee was walking down the stairs with tools/equipment. The employee stepped down from the top step with employee's right leg, and as soon as employee put pressure on employee's leg employee felt employee's knee "pop".

The employee was troubleshooting the flop gate control arm on a FK pump. The employee's finger became pinched between the pivot arm and flop gate, causing a laceration on their right hand (5th finger).

The Employee was helping to install new gudgeon bolts on the 1143 screw. While doing so it is necessary to use the drive belts and pulleys to align the screw for bolt insertion. In the process of doing this the screw backlashed and employee's right hand pinky finger was caught between the belt and pulley tearing a gash in the tip, requiring stitches.

The injured is not an employee of Lehigh Northeast Cement Company. On the above date and time a contractor truck driver injured his left ring finger. The driver was lifting the batching station platform using the safety rail; his finger was pinched between the safety bar and the platform beam causing fractured finger requiring stitches.

The employee was working in a warm location and sweat was running down his face into his eyes. He wiped his face off to remove the sweat. He went home at end of shift but it did not seem to be bothering him. He woke up early in the morning with pain in his eye. We took him to an eye doctor the next morning. They found a tiny piece of steel and removed it.

The employee was sorting balls, moved the portable magnet 3'x 6" W x 2.5" thick, grasped the edge of the magnet with his right thumb being on the bottom of the magnet. Employee rotated the magnet toward himself and the magnetic force pulled it down on its bottom edge pinching employee's thumb between the magnet and the frame of the ball sorter.

The employee was assisting in moving the sample splitter table using a plastic pallet. It got stuck in the doorway. The employee pushed on the table legs, and his right hand got caught between the metal plate on the table leg and the door frame, causing an amputation to the distal phalanx of the ring finger and a laceration to the index finger.

Not realizing the chain was caught on a piece of angle iron, the employee looked into the opening on the west end of the Polycom to see what the chain was catching on. As the employee did this he leaned his hand on the chain and it came loose, striking his right thumb.

When he put his hand to the bottom of the guard to feel for heat, the next thing he knew something grabbed his finger. The EE thinks the zero speed paddle caught his fingerr & pinched it against the guard, causing a laceration to the middle finger of his right hand.

THE GATE STRUCK THE EE'S LEFT HAND, AND BARB WIRE ON THE GATE CUT HIS LEFT FINGER. THE GATE ALSO STRUCK THE EE'S LEFT ARM AND LEFT SIDE OF BACK, CAUSING SOME SCRAPES.
