Showing all 3The employee was attempting to scale a piece of draw rock with a slate bar. When the piece EE was prying on came down and struck EE on the head and neck. EE was transported to the Medical Center for head and back pain. Tests were negative for fractures and Ee was diagnosed with soft tissue bruising.
EE was using a 2 ton chain ratchet to remove the bottom head jack pin off a miner. As the bolt came out of the pin pulley the ratchet flew back striking EE on the lower left thigh. EE sustained a laceration requiring several stitches.
