EE was putting together water line for the continuous miner with a banding tool. His right hand slipped & his right pinky finger was caught between the water line & the banding tool while the hammer was coming down. He mashed his pinky resulting in an open wound, loss of nail, & bone was broken at the tip of the finger. No lost work days. Returned to normal work activity.
EE was replacing a tire on std car. He was pressing down on the wrench when it slipped off the bolt and hit his right leg just above his ankle. Resulting in swelling and bruising.
EE was driving a pin in with a crib block on a piece of equipment. The repetitive motion caused his right wrist and arm to become sore. This resulted in a mild sprain. He visited Pineville ER and was released the same day. No lost work days.
EE was striking a 160-chain with hammer trying to remove a link. A piece of metal from the chain cut into his right hand just above his thumb. He had a visible piece of metal stuck in his right thumb joint above the first knuckle. Minor injury.

THE INJURED WAS USING A COME-A-LONG TO JACK A MOTOR INTO PLACE WHEN THE COME-A-LONG SLIPPED AND STRUCK HIM ON THE LEFT KNEE.

THE INJURED WAS SPLICING A CONVEYOR BELT WHEN HIS BELT KNIFE HIT THE TEMPLATE AND SLIPPED AND HIT HIS LEFT INDEX FINGER (LACERATION).
