Showing all 3Loader operator was assisting mechanic in the changing of bucket teeth. The mechanic was striking a loader tooth on the right side of the bucket on a 988 Cat loader to remove it and a small piece of metal broke lose. The operator was on the left side of the bucket and caught the piece of metal in his left bicep.
Employee was assisting in the removal of a rock in the throat of the jaw crusher. The chain that was being used slipped off the rock and struck employees hand that was on the handrail fracturing the thumb on the rt. hand.
