Showing all 7The wire saw operator was in the process of installing a metal wedge under a granite block. While hitting the wedge with a sledge hammer, a piece of the block (85lbs) came loose and partially hit the miner's left shoulder.
EE was pounding on 18" wedges to split a stone. EE missed and the hammer bounced back and split head open. EE cut forehead.
