A miner was leaning out of the bucket to position a pipe when he decided he needed to be higher. He rang the bells to raise the bucket then failed to get the bells rang to stop the bucket. He was crushed between a guide rail timber and the bucket. The injuries included head lacerations, neck & spinal injuries.

WHILE RIDING IN THE SKIP GOING DOWN THE SHAFT, EE CAUGHT AN ARTICLE OF CLOTHING AND HAD HIS HAND PULLED IN BETWEEN THE BUCKET AND THE SHAFT. THIS RESULTED IN INJURING HIS RIGHT HAND.
