Employee fell due to a sudden stop of the Bailey elevator and injured his left shoulder. Diagnosed on 7/19/07 with a torn rotator cuff.
EMPLOYEE WAS RIDING THE EAST FINLEY #2 PORTAL ELEVATOR OUT OF THE MINE WHEN HIS LEFT GLOVE CAUGHT BETWEEN THE ELEVATOR DOOR AND DOOR FRAME AS DOOR WAS OPENING, CAUSING A LACERATION TO THE TIP OF THE LEFT INDEX FINGER, REQUIRING 12 SUTURES TO CLOSE.
