Showing all 3Employee was removing old plate metal from a JCI screen chute for repairs using a cutting torch. Employee was wearing safety glasses and a face shield. While cutting the employee hit a pocket of dirt cause molten metal to splatter and blow out. A piece of splatter went under the employees face shield and safety glasses causing a burn to the employees right eye lid and cornea.
EE was removing the screw cover for the bag house screw. After removing the bolts the EE discovered there was a tack tac weld. The EE took a 6" angle grinder to remove the weld as the wheel contacted the weld it kicked back striking the EE in the Right thigh causing a laceration.
