MINE OPERATOR WAS SITTING IN CONTROL ROOM WHEN HE RECEIVED APPARENT INSECT BITE ON NECK. BLACK WIDOW SPIDER HAD BEEN SEEN IN CONTROL ROOM EARLIER DURING SHIFT & IT IS ASSUMED THIS IS WHAT C AUSED BITE. SEVERAL HOURS LATER EMPL. EXPERIENCED DISCOMFORT IN FEET & OTHER JOINTS. CREW WAS SNOWED IN AT MINE FOR ABOUT 45 HRS. TELE. CONSULTATION WITH DR. & FIRST AID ONLY ACTION TAKEN.
