Showing all 32A laborer sustained rib fractures to their right side when the skidsteer loader EE was operating struck an object under the snow and came to a sudden stop. The injured was moving snow on the west side of the garage when the bucket caught on a section of railroad track embedded in the concrete. EE was wearing the seat belt and had the lap bar down when the incident occurred.
Employee was operating a loader in the pit muck pile area and hit an ridge in the floor causing the loader to stop abruptly and jarring employee's back. Employee did not request medical attention at time of injury but the next day stated that it was not improving and would like to be seen by a doctor.
A CAT 773 Haul Truck was passing through the North pit gate, at the same time a CAT 773 was traveling the same route in the opposite direction. As the two vehicles passed, the catwalk on the North bound truck struck the rear fender of the South bound truck.
EE was using a truck boom to push down the pusher bar to push bead seat band down. The boom slipped off the pusher bar while EE was reaching under to install the o-ring. The boom slipped pinching EE's finger. Left middle finger laceration received 17 stitches.
Emp was operating haul truck hauling shot rock to the primary crusher. While being loaded, the bucket of the loader contacted the truck bed and jerked the truck. The emp complained of back pain and told the super about incident but refused med attn at that time. On 9/21 the emp told the super was in a great deal of pain and needed to seek med attn for back pain.
Employee was injured while the haul truck was being loaded. Their left shoulder/lower neck injured when they were jostled around in the truck cab while rocks were being loaded in the bed. Type of injury is yet to be determined, but appears to be a type of strain.
Employee had been assigned to operate a haul truck in the pit area. As EE was returning to the pit after dumping a load in the primary crusher, EE hit a pot hole in the road and felt a pain in back.

The ee was sitting in a 771 haul truck being loaded with a 988 loader with spoils from the pit floor to be hauled to the dump. EE said that the truck rocked and he heard a pop and felt a pain go in his back.
Pulling electrical cable with pick-up truck for relocation, employee's right ankle became entangled, causing compression fracture to right ankle.

He hit a low area in the road which caused him to bounce around in the haul truck and hit his head and elbow on driver's side window.

Employee called supervisor on radio and said he needed to go to the hospital and have his neck checked. The injured employee told his supervisor that the loader operator had slammed his truck with a big rock, causing injury to his neck.
Employee reported that the steering wheel on his haul truck "jumped" causing him to strike his right elbow.
Employee was turning the steering wheel of a 773 truck when he felt a sharp pain in right elbow.
EE was working in an elevated manlift. A passing loader struck the tire of the manlift, causing the boom basket of the manlift to shake vigorously. EE strained his back, arm & leg resisting the motion.
While driving stock truck, employee hit a bump and hurt back.
EE WAS CLEANING THE APRON OF THE DUMP TRUCK WITH THE BED RAISED WHEN SOME WET LIME MATERIAL FROM THE BULKHEAD FELL, STRIKING HIS LEFT SIDE.

LOADER OPERATOR THREW A BIG ROCK INTO HIS TRUCK CAUSING HIM A NECK INJURY. THIS ACCIDENT WAS NOT DETERMINDED TO BE WORK RELATED UNTIL 10-1-02.
EE WAS GOING DOWN AN INCLINE ROAD TO RELOAD WITH SHELL, THE INCLINE WAS WET, HER TRUCK STARTED TO SLIDE SIDEWAYS, SHE WAS GOING SLOW TO TRY TO CONTROL THE TRUCK, THE OPERATOR IN THE HAUL TRUCK BEHIND HER ENCOUNTERED THE WET ROAD ALSO AND SLID INTO HER TRUCK.
THE KEY CYLINDER ON THE FORD FUEL TRUCK WAS BROKEN. TO START THE TRUCK EE HAD TO JUMP ACROSS THE CELLONOID ON THE STARTER. HE MADE SURE THE TRANS WAS IN NEUTRAL, RAISED THE HOOD AND LEANED OVER THE TIRE. WHEN HE JUMPED IT THE FIRST TIME IT IDLED AND DIED. SECOND TIME IT LUNGED FORWARDAND GOT ON HIS LEFT FOOT KNOCKING HIM TO THE GROUND. TRUCK ROLLED OVER HIS LEG.
EMPLOYEE WAS HAULING PRODUCT TO THE PIT WHEN HE HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD CAUSING PAIN IN HIS LOWERBACK.
EE WAS RUNNING HAUL TRUCK, THE TRUCK SLAMMED UP AND DOWN WHICH CAUSER HER TO SPRAIN HER BACK.
EE WAS GOING DOWN A SMALL SAND RAMP TO RELOAD. LOST CONTROL OF HIS TRUCK WHICH CAUSED HIS TRUCKTO BOUNCE HARD AND HIGH. THE HARD BOUNCE CAUSED HIM TO STRAIN HIS BACK, NECK AND SHOULDER.
TRAMMING OVER UNEVEN GROUND CAUSED BOOM TO BOUNCE EMPLOYEE OUT OF BASKET. FALL ARREST EQUIPMENT KEPT HIM FROM CONTACTING GROUND. INJURIES DUE TOCONTACT WITH BASKET RAIL.
