IN 6 ENTRY IN NORTH MAINS AT 50 TH XCUT FALL WAS APPROX. 30FT LONG X 16 WIDE 3 6 HIGH AT SPAD 10499. NO SIGNIFICANT INTERUPTION OF VENTILATION WAS ENCOUNTERED.
INJURED AND CO-WORKER HAD PULLED THE ROOF DRILL INTO CROSSCUT TO INSTALL A CURTAIN BOARD. THE ROOF DRILL WAS PROTRUDING INTO THE HAULWAY WHEN A SHUTTLE CAR STRUCK THE DRILL, KNOCKING INJURED O FF OF SEAT.
#7 ENTRY IN 2 WEST AT 12TH X-CUT FALL WAS APPROX 75\ LONG 10\ HIGH OR MORE COULDN\T TELL. AT SPAD 10689 NO SIGNIFICANT INTERUPTION OF VENTILATION WAS ENCOUNTERED.
THE CONTINUOUS MINER HAD PULLED CABLE UP TO THE RIGHT SIDE TO CUT A CUT OF COAL.THE CABLE BECAME TANGLED IN TIMBERS.AS INJURED BENT OVER TO PUT TIMBER ON RIB,HE STATED HE FELT A PAIN IN HIS BA BACK.(HE DID NOT BEGIN LOSING TIME UNTIL 3-12-85).
