EE had their right hand resting on the scoop bucket when a piece of draw rock fell striking their hand causing a laceration requiring sutures. EE was taken off work beginning 10/21/25 as they were unable to perform normal duties without restriction.

Employee was roof bolting, #2 unit #11 seam, she went to the back of the machine to get a new pinner steel. As she bent over to get the steel some material came down and struck her in the lower back. She seen the doctor and was cleared with a bruise. She began missing 04-08-2013 pending MRI.
Employee was bolting an open crosscut. He has put up his last bolt of the shift and was attempting to pry down some loose draw slate between his last row and the ATRS of the bolter. As he pryed the slate down some of it struck him on the head and shoulder. Although he walked to the mantrip and rode out, it was later discovered that he had cracked 4 vertebrae.
The Roof Bolter operator had installed his first bolt in a face. As he was preparing his second bolt some draw slate fell inby the ATRS in the unbolted area. Apparently a piece of the slate flipped back and struck him on the left leg and hip. He returned to work the next day but started missing on 8/21/12 due to continued pain in the hip area.

The slate caused non-displaced fractures to his pelvis and lumber facets.
