THREE LONG HOLE2 50FT, 25 FT AND 18 FT DEEP WERE LOADED WITH EXPLOSIVE. THE HOLES WERE DRILLED OFF THE SLANT CHUTE IN THE NO. 9 BREAST. A LARGE BOULDER WAS BLOCKING THE SLANT AT THE FIRST MINE HEADING. THIS 6OULDER WAS MUDCAPPED, WITH LOOSE COAL. LONG HOLES AND MUDCAP WERE FIRED IN ONE SERIES. INJURED VICTIM STATE THEY DID NOT TEST FOR METHANE BEFORE FIRING. WHEN THE SHOTS WERE FIR
