Accident type, without injuries

AN UNINTENTIONAL FIRE WAS DISCOVERED ON THE STOCKTON COAL STOCKPILE AT 10:00 AM. THIS FIRE MEASURED 6' X 8' AND WAS BURNING AT OR NEAR THE SURFACE OF THE PILE.

Caught in, under or between a moving and a stationary object

After completing his pre shift. He left the parking area heading for the robinson north coal pit. He noticed the driver side door was not shut. He open the doors and attempted to re-shut it. The truck came into contant with a rough patch in the road causing the door to slam shut on his right hand.

Fall to the walkway or working surface

MIMEBER WAS PUTTING GREASE IN RIGHT SIDE TANK. HE SLIPPED AND FELL WHEN HE WAS CROSSING OVER TO THE LEFT SIDE TANK. HE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED UNTIL 9/8/05

While clear cutting in a valley fill, employee's saw kicked back out of a tree striking his lower right leg behind his chaps. Employee was taken to E.R. for sutures.

Struck against a moving object

Injured was tramming endloader to the parking lot when he encountered a rough place in the haul road. The bucket of the loader struck the ground causing pain in his lower back. Injured continued to work until 5/3/05.

Employee was working loading holes. He stepped in a hole and complained of back pain.

EMPLOYEE HAD REMOVED A HANDRAIL BLOCK AT FRONT BUMPER ON A 777B TRUCK FOR STEP REPAIR. WHILE CLEANING UP THE OLD WELD AND SLAG WITH A 4"" GRINDER THE GRINDER HUNG UP. IT CAME AROUND CUTTING EE IN LEFT WRIST RIGHT ABOVE THE WRIST JOINT.

SMASHED FINGER WHILE UNLOADING METAL FROM SERVICE TRUCK.

EMPLOYEE WAS HITTING OVERHEAD BIN WITH 8 LB HAMMER. THE HAMMER BOUNCED OFF THE BIN AND STRUCK HIM IN CHIN. SAW ER PHYSICIAN REQUIRING SIX STITCHES

Struck by falling object

Injuries was installing a tooth on the 992 loader bucket when the rooth fell off bucket and landed on top of his left foot.

Injured was helping a co-worker unhook cables from the no.1 car of the nighwall miner when the cable slack became caught on the cable shield and forced it closed on his right hand and fingers.

Struck against stationary object

Employee stepped on a mud-covered board that had a nail in it. The nail penetrated his boot, puncturing his left foot. He went to the hospital and received a tetnus shot and an antibiotic shot.
