The injured employee was cleaning coal basket, turned to leave area and hooked his right arm on a rail, which ""wrenched "" his arm backward. The company sent the employee to an emergency room and the Doc. told him it was likely a rotator cuff tear. The employee took the next shift off to see a specialist. The employee stated that this was an aggravation of a pre-existing condition.

While grinding a wheel motor commutator, the grinding stone wedged in the commutator causing the grinding stone to spin around pinching the left index finger between the grinding stone and the commutator. The pinching caused a laceration requiring 5 sutures.
