Employee hit hand with hammer while splitting slate shingles in roofing mill. EE went to Dr. for x-ray and found no broken bones. EE was prescribed an anti-inflammatory and returned to work the next day. We allowed employee to clean and push broom so they could rest the bruised hand as Dr. had informed.

Miner was helping to change the attachment on the excavator from a hammer to a bucket. As the miner tried to loosen the nut with a wrench, EE propped foot on the attachment for leverage. When the nut broke loose, the miner fell to the ground, landing on EE's elbow. The miner suffered a dislocated elbow.

Driller had placed a cardboard blast hole tube into a completed hole, while cutting to proper height of tube above the ground. EE was pulling EE's cut off tool toward self, tool slipped sticking in EE's right lower leg.

Employee was using a pole to clean out the pug-mill hopper. When the employee thrust the pole into the material, he hit the outside edge of his right hand on the corner of a drive belt guard. This caused a cut in the hand and 7 stitches were required.

Employee was cutting a piece of buckrubbber for VS-2 screen with a lock blade razor knife. The employees left arm was posting down on the rubber and the right hand was holding the knife. As the employee was cutting the rubber, the knife became stuck. The employee pulled back on the knife causing the knife to unhinge, slip from the cutting surface, and cut the left forearm.

Employee was cutting a piece of rubber with a utility knife when the knife slipped and cut the employees leg. First Aid was initially performed on the cut but could not stop the bleeding. Employee received several stitches to close the laceration.

THE INJURY OCCURRED TO A CONTRACTOR EE WHO HAD BEEN HOLDING A STEEL PIN STUB WHILE ANOTHER EE DROVE THE STUB INTO THE GROUND WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER. THE STUB HOLDER THOUGHT THE STUB WAS IN THE GROUND WELL ENOUGH. THE SLEDGE HAMMER USER DID NOT, THE HOLDER PUT HIS HAND ON TOP OF STUB AND OTHER EE WAS SWINGING HITTING THE HAND OF THE HOLDER.
