While working a rock fell from the rib and struck the employee in the knee. The employee's knee cap was dislocated and strained ligament.
Employee was walking between crib line and rib when some coal and rock from rib rolled and struck him on the left shoulder area. This incident occurred on 10/31/14. The employee has been having issues with the shoulder and he was diagnosed that surgery is needed for a shoulder tear.

He twisted his back, bruised his right shoulder and cracked his ribs. He was taken out of the mines, and went to a hospital for x-rays.
