On Thursday, August 16, 2007 an outburst occurred during rescue work on the Main West Panel. The outburst occurred in the No. 1 entry inby crosscut 126. Rescue work was ongoing to remove coal and debris which had filled the No. 1 entry during an outburst that occurred on August 6, 2007.
While mining a lift off of a pillar, the rib sloughed off some chunks of coal and one struck individual in right ankle and foot. This caused a fracture to right foot and a severe sprain to the ankle.

While changing bits on the longwall shear, a small piece of rock fell from the face striking individual on the right hand causing a laceration to ring finger that needed 6 stitches to close.
During roof bolting of the longwall extraction face, individual was holding up a roof matt when a piece of rock at the top of the coal seam face rolled from the face and struck individual in the left lower leg. This caused a fracture to his ankle.

WHILE WALKING ALONG THE STAGE LOADER TOWARDS THE SHEILDS, SOME COAL BURST FROM THE RIB KNOCKING INDIVDUAL AGAINST THE HEAD GATE MOTOR GEAR BOX. THIS CAUSED A LACERATION TO THE INSIDE OF HIS LO WER LIP, REQUIRING 5 STITCHES TO CLOSE.
AFTER CUTTING THROUGH THE TAILGATE, THE CABLE & BRETTBY FELL OUT OF THE CABLE TRAY. THE INDIVIDUAL REACHED OVER THE BACK OF THE CABLE TRAY TO PUT CABLE BACK INTO TRAY. WHEN THE FLOOR HEAVED & COAL ROLLED FROM THE FACE. THE PANLINE STRUCK THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD KNOCKING HIM OUT FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS. IT ALSO HIT HIM ON THE R FOREARM & CHEST. BRUSIES FOREARM, CHEST, BA
WHILE INSTALLING MONORAIL BEAMS, A SHORT, 3' LONG, PIECE OF MONORAIL WAS LEANING AGAINST RIB. THE EE REACHED TO PICK UP THE BEAM FOR INSTALLING. AS HE MOVED THE BEAM, A PIECE OF COAL SLOUGHED OFF THE RIB, PINCHING FINGER BETWEEN THE RAIL AND COAL. IT CAUSED A CRUSH INJURY AND FRACTURE TO HIS RIGHT INDEX FINGER.
