EE was roof bolting when a piece of rock fell from the top, struck the RBM canopy, broke into pieces, then struck him on the face & right wrist. This resulted in a cheek laceration & a wrist contusion. Upon seeking medical evaluation the EE complained of back pain. On 7/15/15 the results were received by the operator & the lost work days were attributed to the incident.

Employee stated that as he was attempting to remove the drill steel from the hole he had just drilled in the mine roof, a section of draw rock fell out and struck him on the head and face.
