Employee was attempting to remove debris from the back of a dump truck & the tailgate became unstuck and smashed EE's finger.

Employee was distracted while exiting the vehicle, observing what another employee was doing, and closed hand in the door resulting in an injury. Employee's thumb was injured. Employee had pain and swelling that later became infected requiring treatment.
