Unknown if proper lifting technique was used or if other methods were available to lift block. Worker was diagnosed with severe back strain and given medication for his injuries.
Employee was trying to repair a torn conveyor belt and felt pain in the lower left side of his abdomen. At the time of the incident EE was not certain what was actually wrong and continued working. On 12/6, the office was informed that a specialist had determined EE's injury to be a hernia. On 12/8, EE will undergo surgery to correct this injury.
