The miner was digging out around the cone discharge when he felt his back pop out. He went to the emergency room, and then to a clinic for care. He currently released to restricted duty, but is not working.
Employee was helping to unload several large timbers from a tractor/trailer and strained his back. The injury was such to require 4 to 5 chiropractic treatments.
EE WAS CHANGING THE CUTTING EDGE ON THE SCRAPER WHEN IT FELL ON HIS LEFT ARM CAUSING A SLIGHT NUMBNESS, SWELLING AND PAIN. HE WAS RELEASED TO LIGHT DUTY AND AT THE TIME OF THIS REPORT HAS NOT BEEN BACK TO THE DR FOR FULL RELEASE. HE WILL GO NEXT WEEK.
WHILE INSTALLING A 4" ELECTRICAL WATER PUMP AT THE SAND PLANT, THE EE ATTEMPTED TO PLACE THE SUCTION HOSE BY HITTING IT WITH THE HEEL OF HIS RIGHT HAND. AFTER 10 DAYS OF OBSERVATION, THE EE DE CIDED TO SEEK MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR HIS RIGHT HAND, & FILE A WORKER'S COMPENSATION STATEMENT WITH OUR OFFICE.
EE WAS WORKING TO CLEAR THE JAW CRUSHER OF A LARGE BOULDER THAT JAMMED THE CRUSHER AND PULLED A MUSCLE IN HIS LOWER ABDOMEN. EE DID NOT REALIZE THE EXTENT OF HIS INJURY AT THE TIME AND DID NOT REPORT IT TO HIS SUPERVISOR.
EE TWISTED HIS BACK WHILE INSTALLING TOP DECK SCREEN ON THE 8X20 INCLINE SCREEN.
