Employee was splitting slabs of stone and pulled too hard trying to move a rock on the splitter table.

2 employees handled same rock smashed right hand soft tissue swelling no fracture

Injured subject twisted back muscle while moving stone.

This injury was not reported. Employee called in 4-2, said he had back pain. Employee called Wed. 4-4 and said he strained back the prior week.

While pulling stone from splitter line, subjects fingers were pinched between stone and veneer gauge. Subject was wearing gloves. Break was reportable and subject returned to work light duty within one week.
