Employee was installing the center pin while roof bolting and a rock fell striking the back of the employee's left leg below the knee. The injury resulted in a fracture of the employee's left leg. The employee was taken off work the following day (4-23-2026) due to doctor's restrictions.

Mostrando los 14Employee was bolting when a piece of rock fell and struck the left side of the employee's face as well as the bridge of their nose. This resulted in a laceration on the employee's left side of their face requiring 6 stiches. Employee has not missed any work due to the injury.
I.E was welding a new steering weldment on coal hauler 142. Some slag fell into EE's glove causing the employee to burn EE's left forearm. 4 days later on 2/17/2026 EE began to have redness and swelling in the area. EE was taken to the doctor and prescribed medicine to treat infection in the arm.
I.E. was cleaning around the wet duster slurry pump and EE's glove was caught. This resulted in a avulsion of the left index fingernail, nail bed, and also broke the bone in the end of this left index finger.
I.E. was cutting coal at the face with a continuous miner. While operating the miner, a piece of material came back from the head and struck the I.E. in the right arm. The piece of material had to be removed by a doctor and the wound received 1 stitch.
I.E. was cutting coal at the face with the continuous miner. While loading a coal hauler, and the coal was mounding in the bed, a chunk of material roughly 3"x3" came from the bed and struck the I.E. in the right eye. I.E. was taken off by a doctor on 6-27-2024.
I.E. was troubleshooting air conditioner on production drill. While looking and listening to the unit, they repositioned themselves. Their hand slipped and came in contact with the condenser fans. The fan caused a laceration to the left wrist area that required stitches.
I.E. was bringing drill pod down. The top steel was stuck in the roof and the bottom steel and wrench fell to the ground. I.E. put their left hand on pod to get down and pick up other steel, when the top steel fell from the roof and struck their left hand causing a fracture in the hand. I.E. continues to work.
I.E. was roofbotling with a 4' wrench. They added a 2' wrench for the height encountered. I.E. was pulling hand away when they hit the rotation lever. As they hit the rotation lever the end of their glove was between the two wrenches. The wrenches pulled their hand around the wrench causing a fracture to their left pinky finger. I.E. is working on restricted duty as of 11-21-2023.
I.E. was driving roofbolter from cab while pulling up cable slack to last open. As they were backing around corner, they leaned back to see the light that was flagging them. As the I.E. leaned back they came in contact with the coal rib pinching the back side of their upper right arm. This caused two lacerations that required stitches. I.E. has not missed work due to the injury.
I.E. was attempting to put glue and bolt in a hole when the material they were bolting up broke and the two pieces struck the I.E. One rock measured 12"Thx39"x18". The other rock measured 8"Thx32"x16". Employee has continued to work but was placed on restricted duty on 3-16-2023.
I.E. has just backed the roofbolter up to the scoop to load supplies. As they were getting out of the cab, another operator started to move the roofbolter from the side controls. The bumper of the roofbolter struck the back of the I.E's heel and drove their foot into the ground causing a fracture in their right big toe. I.E. was taken off work by a doctor on 6-2-2022.
I.E. was drilling a hole with the roof bolter. After drilling 3', they dropped the boom to grab another drill steel. As they were reaching for the other steel the steel in the roof fell and hit the machine. The steel bounced when it hit and struck the I.E. in the mouth causing a chipped tooth. I.E. has not missed work.
I.E. was tramming a roofbolter and was attempting to secure the cable to the machine so it would not get damaged. Part of the slack of the cable caught the tire of the machine and caused the cable to get tight. This caused the I.E. to smash their right thumb between the cable and the machine. I.E. has not missed work. Working as restricted duty.
