While hanging bags on a paper bag sealer in the Open mouth bagging area the employees right hand middle finger was pinched causing a laceration. No stitches were required. Employee was placed on limited use of the right hand.

Mostrando los 16Employee was operating the Bagging Machine when he noticed his hand was swollen. He put Ice on the hand. He went to the clinic to have it checked out. He was diagnosed with a Mild Strain to the Extenser Tendon. Employee indicated that he noticed his hand being swollen on the previous shift but failed to report it.
Employee was walking through the maintenance shop, another employee was grinding on a steel screen frame. The injured employee received grinding dust in his right eye under his safety glasses. The employee had the foreign body removed at the clinic and received prescription eye drops.
Employee was drilling steel brackets using a drill press. The steel caught and spun around hitting the employees left hand causing a laceration on the palm requiring 5 stitches.
Employee was removing urethane buckets from an elevator. He was using a grinder to cut the bolts. The grinder wheel contacted the bucket enough to create fumes which he breathed. He later stated he did not feel well and went to the hospital where he was diagnosed with inhalation pneumonitis.
The injured employee was removing the bottom access panel of the rosin dryer elevator which had plugged up with wet sand. After removing the clips that held the panel on, EE removed the door. As he was doing this the upper panel pivoted downward because the bolts had vibrated out on one side. The upper panel struck his's right fourth fingertip, fracturing the bone.
EMPLOYEE WAS WELDING AT THE ROSIN DRYER-110 ROOMAREA WHEN HE ACCIDENTLY STRUCK AN ARC WHILE HIS HOOD WAS UP. HE WAS TREATED FOR WELDING FLASH INHIS LEFT EYE.
EE WAS OPERATING SHEAR. MADE ONE CUT THEN PROCEEDED TO REALIGN THE PIECE FOR HIS SECOND CUT, W/O REMOVING HIS FOOT FROM THE FOOT ACTIVATED CONTROL. WHEN HE SHIFTED HIS WEIGHT WHILE TURNING THE PIECE OF STEEL, HE ENGAGED THE SWITCH WHICH ACTIVATED THE HOLD DOWN PLUNGERS WHICH SMASHED THE TIPS OF HIS RING & MIDDLE FINGERS ON HIS LEFT HAND. ALL MACHINE GUARDS WERE IN PLACE WHEN THE AC
EE WAS GRINDING ON A PIECE OF STEEL IN THE SHOP, WEARING SAFETY GLASSES, WHEN A PIECE OF RUST SCAR FLEW UP AND EMBEDDED IN HIS LEFT EYE.
INJURED WAS OPERATING FLOOR SWEEPER WHEN HE NOTICED SIDE DOOR PANEL SWINGING OPEN HE TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR BY REACHING BACK WITH HIS LEFT HAND WHILE STILL DRIVING HT EMACHINE. HIS HAND MISS ED THE DOOR EDGE AND CONTINUED ON INTO THE FAN BLADES OF THE ENGINE, WHICH WERE EXPOSED BECAUSE THE DOOR WAS OPEN. HE RECEIVED 8 STITCHES IN HIS RING FINGER AND 4 STITCHES IN HIS MIDDLE FING
INJURED WAS PULLING STRECH FILM OFF THE ROLL TO WRAP A PALLET OF SAND WHEN THE ROLL DISENGAGED FROMHOLDER AND FELL ON HIS RIGHT FOOT JUST BEHIND HIS STEEL TOE, BREAKING HIS LITTLE TOE.
INJURED WAS HANGING BAGS ON BAG FILLING MACHINE, WHEN HE PLACED A BAG ON FILL SPOUT WITH HIS LEFT HAND & STARTED FILL PROCESS WITH RIGHT HAND. WHEN ACTUATED MACHINE CLAMPED DOWN ON ED'S LEFT I NDEX FINGER.
EMPLOYEE WAS TRYING TO FREE A PLUG-UP OF ROCKS AND CLAY FROM THE ENTRANCE OF THE STEDMAN IMPACT CRUSHER WITH A 6' LONG LENGHT OF CONDUIT WHEN THE PLUG-UP CLEARED ITSELF. EMPLOYEE WAS UNABLE TO PULL THE CONDUIT BACK BEFORE IT HIT THE STEDMAN WHEEL. THE STEDMAN WHEEL THEN JERKED THE CONDUIT IN A SWINGING MOTION STRIKING EMPLOPYEE IN THE HEAD.
EE WAS REPAIRING THE HYSTER TOWNMOTOR CAGE BY WELDING IN SUPPORT BRACKETS. HE ACCIDENTLY STRUCK AN ARC WITH THE ELECTRODE BEFORE FLIPPING DOWN HIS WELDING HOOD. EE WAS TREATED FOR ACUTE FLASH BURNS TO BOTH EYES.
