Struck by flying object

Miner was holding ANFO hose while blowing it out. Hose slipped out of hands striking miner in the face and spraying ANFO onto face and eyes. Right eye irritated by ANFO dust.

Caught in, under or between (Not Elsewhere Classified)

Employee had opened the front hydraulic tank cover on loader. EE then proceeded to open the next cover back. As EE reached the fully open position EE was not watching and EE's finger was pinched between the 2 covers. This smashed the end of the little finger on left hand almost removing the nail and splitting it. Resulted in 4 stitches and a broken finger bone.

While showering at the end of shift miner felt debris wash into eye. Later during the off hours the eye became irritated and the miner went to the health care professional. The health care professional removed a small piece of metal from the eye and gave miner a prescription for antibiotic drops.
