Accident type, without injuries

The control room monitored a variation in temperature within a bin which was handled by normal procedures, consistent with design capacity. There was no injury or illness resulting from this condition. This pressure excursion does not constitute an ""accident"" as set out at 30 C.F.R §50.2(h). The ""blast gate"" which is designed to relieve pressure in this type of situation did open.
