INJURED HAD JUST STARTED A SMALL BLOWER MOTOR BUT THE BLOWER DID NOT START. HE REACHED IN BEHIND THE BELT GUARD TO MASH DOWN ON THE BELTS TO TRY TO GET BLOWER STARTED AND GOT 3 FINGERS CAUGHT IN THE BELT DRIVE ON THE BLOWER.

EMPLOYEE WAS ATEMPTING TO REPAIR DRYER FEED CHUTE (LINER) THAT FED MATERIAL FROM #1 CONVEYOR INTO DRYER. THE DRYER SHELL WAS STILL IN MOTION AND CAUGHT LINER AND FORCED IT UP UNDER CONVEYOR BE LT. EMPLOYEE WAS STANDING ON CONVEYOR BELT AND JUMPED FROM BELT TO FLOOR WHEN BELT WAS STRUCK BY LINER. JUMP TO FLOOR WAS ABOUT 15 FT AND FALL BRUISED EMPLOYEE'S R. HEEL.
