In St Leo Mains walking from loader to miner after getting a water bottle at #1-#0 crosscut 109 block the rib "popped" dislodging a softball sized projectile that struck them in the left side of the face resulting in contusions to left eyebrow and nose. No problems with equipment or compliance issues, training, or PPE.

Mostrando los 7Employee was hanging a ventilation tube when a piece of coal fell from the rib and struck employee's left knee. It did not involve any equipment or compliance issues. It also did not involve job skills, proficiency, training, PPE or protective devices.
Employee was in the x-cut 2-3 at 42blk. when the rib popped. Employee turned to leave the x-cut and air line came down striking the employee in the nose. The employee sustained fracture to nose and began missing work on the 11-7-2023.
The injured was standing behind the miner as it backed out of the face on the 5W Section. The rock binder fell out from the rib, and struck the EE in the left arm and wrist. The EE finished their shift, but began missing work on 7/24/23.
The EE was rib bolting on the 2 West Section, in the #3 entry from 54-55 block. The EE drilled the hole for the rib bolt and turned to get a bolt and glue. The rib rolled out, striking EE's left knee hyperextending it. The EE finished shift, and began missing work on 2/6/21.
EE was bolting on the miner in the 2 West Section. A loose rib out in front of the injured fell and struck the rib deflector. A smaller piece broke off and struck the EE in the right hip area.
EE was on-shifting in the Left Return 38 block of 1 North. After signing the date board, a rock rolled from the rib/brow and contacted EE's left foot and ankle. EE finished the shift.
