The injured was operating the radio remote controlled continuous miner when the coal rib, at back, "popped" off the rib striking ee on the lower legs. The rib measured 9 feet long, by 5 to 7 inches thick and 6 feet high. This resulted in a fracture to right ankle.

While the employee was pulling up bolter slack, a piece of the rib fell out, striking him in the left arm that required 4 sutures.

Miner operator was in #7 entry, LOB. He walked up to the left ouby corner about 2 feet away and was pulling a spad from his pocket to drive in the rib when the block corner fell outward striking him in the chest, abdoman, legs. The coal measured 38" long x 21.75" wide x 12 " thick.

INJURED WAS PULLING MINER CABLE AS C.M.O. WAS BACKING CONTINUOUS MINER OUT OF CUT WHEN A COAL RIB FELL STRIKING LOWER RIGHT BACK.

Injured was driving a spad in the coal rib when a small piece of rock fell from the top of the rib striking his right forearm. He recieved a laceration approx. 2" long which was closed by 2 butterfly closures

EMPLOYEE WAS INSTALLING A ROOF BOLT IN AN OVERCAST AREA WHEN A PIECE OF ROCK (RIB) FELL & STRUCK EMPLOYEE ON THE HEEL OF HIS RT. FOOT. ACCIDENT OCCURED 45' INBY SPAD #3928 ON MAINS SECTION.

INJURED WAS STRUCK BY A RIB ROLL AS HE WAS TRAMMING #2 SC THROUGH X-CUT 4-5.
