Mostrando los 14Employee was bolting in 5 right crosscut. As he was putting his steel in the tray the rib popped and a piece of it went into his right eye. He was wearing safety glasses. he went to the doctor and had it checked. He was released to come back to work with no restrictions.
Employee was rolling up a curtain in the #5 heading in preparation to scoop it. A small section of the rib rolled off and struck his right arm resulting in a laceration. He was on the 002 section at the time of the accident.
Roof Bolter operator was going to spot a bolt on the shear of the 3-Rt crosscut. Injured & co-worker were bolting #3 entry on 001 section. They had put up the 1st row and were starting on 2nd row. Injured was drilling his 1st hole when a rib rolled off without warning knocking him to the ground, pinning him against the pinner. The rock was approximately 6' x 2' x 7 1/2'.
